Frequently asked questions
What should I do if I want to enquire about your services?
If you are interested in us working together, please feel free to call or email me. From here we will arrange a free 5-10-min telephone consultation; please note there is no obligation to attend therapy with me after. This is an opportunity for you to speak with me and ask any questions you might have, for me to get a little information on what you would like support with, and for us to determine if I am the right person to offer that support.
Where are you based?
I practice out of the Alexander Centre in Faversham and out of a personal consultency room in River (Dover)
What if I don't want to continue treatment?
No matter how many sessions we've had, you have the right to finish treatment at any point. If you feel like you want to end our time together, I will be happy to discuss this with you.
Will you store any information on me?
If we agree to begin treatment, then, at times, I will be taking notes. Much of the information will refer to specific themes or important details from our sessions. Once the session is finished I will type up any notes I have written and shred the paper copies.
How much is the assessment and following sessions?
The assessment is £60 which is a 60 minute appointment. After this, each session will run for 50 minutes and cost £50.
Do you offer telephone counselling?
Yes, I do offer telephone counselling. If you wish to know more, please get in touch.
Do you offer counselling over Skype?
I do offer video counselling. However, Skype is no longer permitted when it comes to online video counselling as it's not completely secure. Therefore, I use a free-to-use service called "Zoom" which is encrypted and secure, so you can feel safe knowing that our sessions are completely confidential. Zoom is an easy program to downlaod and start up; if you wish to have online video therapy, please get in contact and I will send instructions on how we can get started. I can also offer video therapy via Whatsapp Video and Facetime.
